Description
An Operating System is sort of like the brains of the computer. You have hardware like the CPU tower or laptop, the monitor and keyboard. But…without the CPU brain, the Operating System, or O/S, the computer can only power up and sit there. The O/S organizes the files and instructs the hardware on what to do. While the dominant O/S of today is Microsoft Windows, other types of O/S have different features and are somewhat specialized. They include LINUX, UNIX, and OS-X.
